I have been working in oil and acrylic mediums for 20 years.  I am currently working in abstract expressionism and color techniques while also relying on my background in classical portrait and landscape studies.  Oil paints with charcoal sketches are applied to canvas to create a uniqiue layer effect and incorporates each mark and stroke to show the overall process from beginning and end.  I like to include all my steps and reapproaches to my projects to build on.  I want to show all my corrections on my work as a reminder that everything is a process while also creating depth. My work also attempts to capture what one can only see in their peripheral vision.
